Welcome

The Government-in-Action Youth Tour sends Texas high school students on an educational and fun trip to Washington, D.C., through a nationwide program sponsored by electric cooperatives. Texas’ electric cooperatives have been sending students on Youth Tour since 1965, and so far, more than 4,400 Texas youths have gone on this memorable trip.

Those thousands of Texas Youth Tour alumni now have more ways than ever to reconnect with their friends and memories. In honor of the program’s 50-plus years, Texas Electric Cooperatives unveiled Your Tour magazine and the Texas Youth Tour Alumni Facebook page.

Explore this website to find out more about how alumni can reconnect and how the next generation of Youth Tour participants can apply.
